Mudvayne & KoRn

Crazy day yesterday. I got into the WWII Institute here at FSU. That was a plus.

Then, James calls and says he may not be able to come... and never gets back to me as to whether or not he IS coming.

Luckily, my friend Cat saved the day and drove up to Jacksonville from Gainesville with almost no notice. I mean, free concerts are always a good thing for someone, but I would like to dedicate this post to Cat Smith for saving the day and making it so i did not have to go alone.

The first band 10 years sucked. they are TOOL / APC rip-offs.

Then Mudvayne came on. I can't even remember if that was my 5th or 6th Mudvayne show. I had never seen them in a stadium setting, so the acoustics were fucked up, but they still ruled. They played:

Determined
Pushing Through
-1
Fall Into Sleep
Death Blooms
Silenced
Not Falling
Nothing to Gein
Happy?
Dig

and then KoRn took the stage. I was worried about this, because they are minus 1 guitarist from the last time i saw them. But they remedied that. They have an entire backup band now. There were 8 people on stage. The 4 members of the band, and then 1 extra vocalist, 1 extra drummer, 1 keyboardist, and 1 extra guitarist. It was bonkers. They also had these rad video sequences projected behind them. Korn played for almost 2 hours, they played so many songs i cant remember them all, but i will try to make a partial list:

It's On
Counting
Dirty
Liar
Got the Life
Shoots and Ladders
Clown
Blind
Freak on a Leash
Tearjerker
their "medley" of like 15 songs in one, which was so badass.
Twisted Transistor
Hypocrites
Love Song

My faith in Korn has been renewed. They put on an incredible show, and struck many nostalgiac cords. Beer was too expensive there, but what do you expect at a concert?

Concert over. Onto school dilemmas.

V

V For Vendetta was an incredible film. All must go and see its wonders. Reminiscent of and 1984 and Equilibrium. Hugo Weaving was a tremendous "V."

I also want to see A Scanner Darkly and Silent Hill. Too many movies, not enough time.

I got all the classes I wanted for summer and fall. That made me happy.

and that is enough for now.

it's only after you've lost everything that you're free to do anything.

imagination. dreams. concerns. fears. musings. thoughts. feelings. sanity. insanity. karma. dharma. blue skies. music. media. books. lessons learned. lessons yet to be learned. past. present. future. everything. nothing. all that lies between...

...and all that could have been.
